Richter
Extending business and professional activities, Richter Gedeon acquired a gynecological application. The product was developed onto AWS, and they sought expert support for its hosting.
The challenge
The application collects data from an IoT device through a mobile application, which is evaluated in an AWS backend application using a model developed by machine learning. In lack of AWS expertise, Richter Gedeon had asked TC2 to help with the AWS migration and ongoing operation and support of their application.
The solution
TC2, in close collaboration with the application developer, developed a robust and secure containerized application environment to run the acquired software. The application adapts with high security to changing needs – even with a significant increase in user numbers. User trends can be tracked through a next-generation analytics and visualization interface. The AWS platform and application operation are designed to meet industry standards.
After launching production, TC2 provided operation and support for infrastructure and application runtime platform level, engaging with the customer on business metrics level. There were several optimization and upgrade reviews to secure the application and lower the costs in idle periods.
AWS solution
For AWS services to be used, TC2 designed and implemented the solution with ECS Fargate, EC2 with Autoscaling and Dynamodb, to scale for the growing customer demand while keep the application robustness. The solution was delivered using Cloudformation Infrastructure as Code automation.
Outcomes and success metrics
Platform and application successfully delivered with multiple environments for development, testing and staging besides production. Managed to extract business KPIs for number of active users, user activity metrics and so on. There were no downtimes throughout the entire lifecycle of the project due to the loosely coupled services design between IoT device, mobile app and AWS backend services.
